FAQs
Trail LED FAQ’s
Where did you come from?
I am a small business that grew from a hobby gone horribly wrong. I have been building LED bike lights for 4 years, commercially for almost 2.
Why haven’t I heard of you before?
To keep costs down and quality up I only advertise on local bike forums and MTBR. Word of mouth and referrals have been my biggest form of advertising.
Why are you doing this?
I was unhappy with the cost and quality of lights available to the general public and I enjoy metal working. You can learn more about Trail LED history in the “About” section.
What is your warranty?
If you break your light riding your bike, send it back. I will pay for parts and shipping. If you figure out another way to break it, I ask for shipping both ways and cost of parts. Simple as that.
What about upgrades? Aren’t LEDs getting better all the time?
New LEDs are coming out on about an 8 month cycle right now. If you decide that you want to upgrade to newer LEDs in the future, I ask that you cover parts and shipping.
How long does it take to get a light?
Normal lead time is two weeks. However, these are custom lights. As such, production time may be a little longer depending on your needs, machining and the time needed to gather parts.
What forms of payment do you accept?
I accept PayPal + fees, cashier’s check or money order. Please contact me before sending any payment.
What is the air speed velocity of an unladen swallow?
African or European?
What do I do if I have questions that aren’t answered here?
